Nine children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Williams. The four sons are: Edward Preston, of New York City, formerly of Albany; Frederick M. Williams, a commission merchant of New York City; Frank Williams, president of the Broadway Central Bank, New York City; George Washington Williams, hay dealer, Brooklyn; and the four daughters are: Miss Leonette Williams, the eldest, resident of New York City; Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Williams Cook, wife of Charles P. Cook of Baldwin, L.I., with whom Mr. Williams had made his home in later life; Nellie, who resides in Pierrepont Manor; and Hattie B., of Ogdensburg N.Y. Another daughter, Mrs. Catherine Williams Calkins, wife of Ralph Calkins, died at Pierrepont Manor in 1899.
