Born near Circleville, Pickaway County, Ohio to Solomon Lincoln and Malinda Morris. Her father was a second cousin to Abraham Lincoln and her mother was related to Gideon Wells who was secretary of the Navy in Lincoln’s cabinet.

She married Alexander H. Fleming 22 Feb 1866 in Logan County, Illinois and had two sons: Henry Solomon Fleming and Calvin M. Fleming. After his death she married David Shipman 13 Nov 1884 in Henry County, Indiana and had one son, David Leroy (Roy) Shipman. After his death she married Wallace K. Deem in 1892.
