Harriet Beecher Stowe, *Daughter* of the Author of "Uncle Tom's Cabin" Dead
Simsbury, Ct., January 26 -- Miss Harriet Beecher Stowe, daughter of the famous writer of that name, died here tonight aged 70 years. Miss Stowe had made her home here for many years. On January 17 she suffered a stroke of paralysis, which finally caused her death tonight.
Miss Stowe was a niece of Mrs. Isabella Beecher Hooker, who died in Hartford yesterday[January 25 1907]. She leaves a twin sister (Miss Eliza Stowe) and a brother (Rev. Charles E. Stowe, of Bridgewater, Mass.). Baltimore American, Sunday, January 27, 1907, Baltimore, Maryland, page 4.
