Passed away Thursday at Franciscan Health Lafayette East.

Daughter of Roy Van and Gladys LeRea McCormick Wells.
Married Milford Abolt May 20, 1944 in Newtown. He preceded her in death.
Survivors include daughters Carolyn (Don) Glenn, Phyllis (James) Jordan, and Christina (Scott) Clawson; son Jeff (Dianna) Abolt; grandchildren Eric (Patricia) Glenn, Brett (Jennifer) Jordan, Sean (Cherish) Jordan, Julie (Brandon) Baker, Tina (Greg) Kadziolka, Lisa (Jeremiah) Robinson, Stephen (Lisa) Abolt, Jason Grant (Garnet) Dark and Adam Nicholas (Mary) Clawson; great-grandchildren Luke, Liam, Alexander, Bowman, Anna, Violet, Autumn, Emelia, Winston, Holly, Ashley, Grace, Cayden, Logan, Ember, Xander, Kyler and Winter.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, son Michael Alan Abolt and grandson Brian Glenn.

Graduate of Richland Township High School.

She retired as a final inspector for Radio Materials Corp, Attica.Funeral

Long-time active member of Hopewell Baptist Church, Newtown, serving as secretary/treasurer, Sunday School teacher, memorial fund recorder and entertainment committee member.

She served as an assistant leader for Brownie Scouts and a Cub Scout Den Mother, was an active member of American Legion Auxiliary #394 in Newtown, serving as president and chaplain, and was a “Red Hatter.”

Funeral Service 11am Friday, June 15 at Family and Friends Funeral Home, Wingate, with Pastor Duane Mycroft officiating.
Visitation 5-8pm Thursday.

Memorial donations to the American Cancer Society.
