Springfield, IL—Philip G. Doom, 55, of Springfield, died at 12:25 pm, Monday, May 28, 2018 at his home. He was born on November 11, 1962 in East St. Louis, IL to James and Donna (Wager) Doom.
He is survived by two children, Carrie (Grant) Bjork of Sherman and Heidi (Travis) Harmony of Champaign and their mother, Carole Doom of Sherman; four grandchildren, Alexander, Ryland, Braxton and Dexter, who is due in October; one grand fur-daughter, Luna; one sister, Becky Doom of Euless, TX; two brothers, Timothy (Amal) Doom of Columbus, OH and David Doom of Dallas, TX, and two nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Michael Doom.
Philip graduated from Lanphier High School in 1980. He worked in car sales and financing. He also drove for Uber and Lyft.
He loved to golf, and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan.
Visitation: 5 – 7 pm Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Staab Funeral Home in Sherman.
Funeral Service: 10 am Friday, June 1, 2018 at Staab Funeral Home in Sherman with Pastor Adam Cruse officiating.
