Born in Lawrenceburg,TN she was united in marriage at Lawrenceburg. To this union were born twelve children, five boys and seven girls, eight of whom surive her. They were all present except one. They are Mrs G.W. Hamilton of Savannah, TN; T.L.Shaw and Mrs J.C. Strickland of Forgan, OK; W.M. Shaw of Dedman, NM; Mrs J.M. Bruton of Bomarton, TX; Mrs I.D. Garner of Paris, TX; L.C. Shaw and Miss Emma Shaw of Tyrone.

Mrs Shaw was a widow for about fourteen years. At the time of her death which occurred on June 26, 1920, she was making her home with her son Lee. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev Louis Kraft at the Lee Shaw home Sunday after which the body was laid to rest in the Nabisco Cemetery.
