Arthur, as he was known by his friends was born at Bell Green, AL, November 18, 1881 and departed this life on the eve of March 19, 1923. He was as the laborer that began the day's work in the early morning, not at the sixth or the eleventh hour of the day. As he has been a good Christian ever since he was 14 years old, and was true to his Lord until the time of his sudden death. He came to Texas Coutny in 1904 where he still lived at the time of his departure. He married Ina Hearne at Sugden, OK. To this union were born 8 children, one departing this life in infancy. 5 boys and 2 girls are left of this union, Hearne being married, the others at home yet. Mrs Dobbs died in the influenza range Oct 10, 1918. To his union with Ada Pennington, two children were born.

He leaves a sorrowing wife, seven sons, two daughters, father and mother, brothers and sisters. (OT march 29, 1923)
