Alvey Armstrong 85 of 1805 S Mason St died Wednesday at his home. He was born in Tacoma, a descendant of a pioneer family which came to this area in 1849. He was a partner in Armstrong Brothers Shinglers & retired in 1945 as a shipfitter at the Puget Sound Navel shipyards. He is survived by his wife, Evalyn, of the home, a daughter Mrs Alice A Flake of Tacoma, & 2 sisters, Mrs Mabel C Fulton of Tacoma & Mrs Dorothea Barney of Pasadena, CA.
