Funeral services for Baskin Lee Ewing, 76, of Rt. 4, West Monroe, was to be at 2 p.m. today at First Methodist Church in West Monroe with the Revs. Robert Peyton and Issac Patton officiating.

Burial was to follow in Hasley Cemetery in West Monroe under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Monroe.

Mr. Ewing died Monday night at Ridgecrest Nursing Home after a long illness.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. H. B. Averett of West Monroe; two brothers, Edgar Ewing of Ruston and Etheridge Ewing of Jonesboro; a half-brother, Bill Ewing of Chatham; a step-brother, Dr. David E. Brown of Baton Rouge; one sister, Mrs. Tillie May of Grayson; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
