Opal Ruth Stewart February 8, 1919 - March 14, 2008 Opal, a kind, generous woman with a wonderful sense of humor will be greatly missed by her husband of almost 70 years, Bob Stewart, her daughter Lavonne Stewart-Campbell and son-in-law Mick Campbell. Five grandchildren, five and soon to be six great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews will also mourn her passing. Opal was preceded in death by her son Rex M. Stewart, her parents Iva and L. M. Cowles, two sisters Zola Wilcox and Vera Belcher. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 20, 2008 at Mountain View Funeral Home in the Valley Chapel. A reception to celebrate Opal's life will take place after the services at Fellowship Christian Church, 860 E 38th St, Tacoma WA 98404. In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made to Pleasant Valley Christian Camp, PO Box 175, Mineral WA 98355.
