Mr. Cloninger was employed by Coca-Cola and Sunrise Dairy and was the owner of Cloninger Stables.

He was a US Army WWII veteran, member of The Order of The Redmen, member of Gaston County Saddle Club and member of the First United Methodist Church in Dallas where he was his Sunday School President


Preceded in death by: Wife Quillie Davis Cloninger; brothers Pete, brown and Alvin Cloninger; sisters Eloise Cloninger and Oren Bentley.
