Louis D. Blaich Sr., 72, Tuscaloosa, a resident of Birmingham for 50 years, died Thursday at a Tuscaloosa hospital.
Mr. Blaich was a member of the Masons, Shriners, Elks and an active participant in civic events. He was a member of EnsIey First Presbyterian Church.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Jones Speigner Funeral Home at Tuscaloosa. The Rev. W. C. Dean will officiate.
Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Elmwood, with the Rev. E. E. Weaver and the Rev. H. M. Hudson officiating.
He is survived by his wife, Ida M. Blaich; two daughters, a stepdaughter, a son, three brothers, four sisters, eight grandchildren; a greatgrandchild and several nieces and nephews.
