Charlotte M. Murphy, 78, of Hillsboro died at 7:12 p.m. Tuesday at Hillsboro Hospital.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Patton Memorial Home, Hillsboro. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Surviving are her husband, Leo; two sons, Robert Smith of Hillsboro and Carl Smith of Mount Zion; one brother, Richard Kelly of Peoria.

Services were conducted at Patton Memorial Home Friday afternoon for Charlotte Marie (Kelly) Murphy, 78, wife of Leo Murphy and a lifelong Hillsboro resident. The Rev. James Howie, Donnellson Presbyterian minister, was the officiant and burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Mrs. Murphy died Tuesday, Feb. 13, 1990 at 7:12 p.m. at Hillsboro Hospital.
A Hillsboro native, she was born April 24, 1911, one of three children of Charles and Ruth (Westbrook) Kelly. She and Carl Williams Smith were married in 1929 and they became the parents of two sons, Robert Smith of Hillsboro and Carl Smith of Mt. Zion, Mrs. Smith died in 1931.
On September 15, 1941, she and Leo Murphy were married at St. Louis. Mr. Murphy survives her with two sons, seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren, and a brother, Richard Kelly of Peoria. A brother Paul Kelly died Jan. 14, 1985. Suggested for memorial contributions is the Heart Fund.
