J.D. Brooks, jr., nine year old son of Mr. and Mrs. J.D. Brooks of Phillips, died early today in a local hospital.

Besides his parents, he is survived by two sisters, Leloa and Billie Brooks of Phillips; grandmothers, Mrs. Emily Brooks of Phillips and Mrs. Mattie Herne of Fordyce, Ark.

The body lies in state at the Blackburn-Shaw-Powell Funeral Home where arrangements are pending.

Funeral services for J.D. Brooks, jr.; nine year old son of Mr. and Mrs. J.D. Brooks of Phillips who died Friday in a local hospital, will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Phillips Baptist Church with Rev. C.G. Sewell officiating.

Interment will be in Amarillo with Blackburn-Powell-Shaw in charge.

Pallbearers will be A.G. Banker, H.C. Brown, G.R. Shannon, J.D. Hall, E.C. Trent, and C.O. McClelland.
