George Reynolds funeral Friday
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Hoepner funeral home in Redwood Falls for George Reynolds, 78, who died Tuesday at Sunwood nursing home where he was a resident since March 4, 1971. Rev. Frederic J. Krueger of First United Methodist church will conduct the service.
Pallbearers will be Sanford Cole of rural Renville, M.D. "Bud" Hayes of Tracy, Herman Kuck, Wayne Hoover, Robert and Jack Sawatzke of Redwood Falls. Interment will be in the Vesta cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home this evening and until the time of service Friday.
Mr. Reynolds was born March 2, 1894 in Lebanon, Mo, a son of Henry and Geraldine Gould Reynolds. He attended school in Lebanon and during his younger days he farmed in the Penora, Ia, area. He later moved to Lucan and in 1942, he moved to Milwaukee. He resided in Belview from 1948 to 1954 when he moved to Redwood Falls where he lived five years. In 1959, he moved to Posen township in Yellow Medicine county, near Echo, where he made his home with his daughter, Mrs. Dennis Preuss. He was a self-employed carpenter from 1936 until his retirement in 1970.
Survivors include children, Mrs. Dale (Georganna) Jefferson of Omaha, Ne, Robert Reynolds and Mrs. Gary (Carol) Randgaard of Redwood Falls, George Jr., of Milwaukee, and Mrs. Dennis (LaVon) Preuss of Echo; 16 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. William (Margaret) Herring of Jefferson, SD, and a brother, Elmer G. Reynolds of Redwood Falls. He was preceded in death by two spouses, the former Anna Boot and Lois Kraus, one son, seven brothers and five sisters.
