Lawrence A. Dominguez 80 of Clayton died Sun Oct 21, 2012.

Memorial services will be at 2 pm today Oct 24, 2012 in Assembly of God Church Fellowship Hall at the corner of Eighth and Oak streets in Clayton. Arrangements are by Hass Funeral Home of Clayton.

Mr. Dominguez was born Mar 10, 1932 in Clayton to Adon Dominguez and Lenore Marinda Dominguez.

He owned C&L Bakery in Clayton for many years and later worked as a cook at Nu Way Cafe and Rabbit Ear Cafe for many years.

Survivors include three daughters Rosalie Lomeli of Modesto, CA; Martha Lucero of Dalhart, TX and Lisa Massey of Clayton; four sons Larry Dominguez of Clayton, Dennis Dominguez of Greely, CO, Franklin Dominguez of Modesto and Tommy Shawn of Dalhart; a sister Beatrice Montoya of Clayton; 22 grandchildren; and many g-grandchildren.

Lawrence Dominguez, age 80, died Sunday, October 21, 2012 at his home in Clayton.

Cremation has taken place and the family held a memorial service at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at the Church of Christ Fellowship Hall at the corner of Eighth and Oak in Clayton.

Lawrence A. Dominguez was born on March 10, 1932 in Clayton, New Mexico to Adon Dominguez and Lenore (Marinda) Dominguez. A lifelong resident of Clayton, New Mexico, Lawrence graduated from Clayton High School in 1951 and joined the New Mexico National Guard in 1952. Lawrence owned and operated C and L Bakery in Clayton for many years and later worked as a cook at the Nu Way Café and the Rabbit Ear Café for many years. Lawrence always had a great sense of humor and he could make anybody smile and he was famous for his twisties and thumbprints. Lawrence was preceded in death by his parents and by a son, Steven Dominguez on September 11, 2004.

SURVIVORS:

3 DAUGHTERS: Rosalie Lomeli and her husband Ray of Modesta, California, Martha Lucero of Dalhart, Texas and Lisa Massey and her husband Craig of Clayton, New Mexico.

4 SONS: Larry Dominguez of Clayton, New Mexico, Dennis Dominguez and his wife Wendy of Greely, Colorado, Franklin Dominguez and his wife Dolores of Modesta, California and Tommy Shawn and his wife Diana of Dalhart, Texas.

1 SISTER: Beatrice Montoya of Clayton, New Mexico.

22 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends that he considered family.
