Alfred Daniel Keisler, 91, of Anadarko passed away on May 23, 2018 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma encircled by family.
Al was born June 28, 1926 to MaryAnn and Daniel Efford Keisler in Carrizo Springs, Texas. At 16 he joined the Navy and soon after turning 17, he was driving a landing craft carrying Marines to the shores of Iwo Jima and served in the Pacific. After the war, he worked on a seismograph crew traveling the country. While working in Anadarko, he met and married a beautiful lady, Twila G Killer, on September 7, 1951. They continued traveling with the crew and returned from North Dakota to live permanently in Anadarko in 1953. Al was a mechanic and retired from his short-haul trucking company in 1990. He was a member of the Anadarko Church of Christ. He enjoyed his grandchildren, Country Gospel Jubilee on Sunday morning, fishing, camping with his family and his pets. Family was a source of pride with 8 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. His love and commitment to his family and his beautiful smile will be missed beyond measure.
He leaves to cherish his memory, daughters: Carol Perkins of Chugiak, Alaska, Sherry Lindsey and husband Monty of Oklahoma City and Candy Setters and husband Robert of Anadarko; grandchildren: Alicia Woods and husband Floyd of Chugiak, Alaska, Bryan Elliott of Funny River, Alaska, LeeAndrea Wisnienski and husband Paul of North Pole, Alaska, Christina OMarrah and husband Jeff of Nobleville, Indiana, Paige Newcomb and husband Cory of Jones, Greg Lindsey and wife Tasha of Elgin, Thomas Setters and Joshua Setters of Anadarko; great grandchildren: Felicia Ann, Dominique Nicole, Tiffany, Angel, Alex, Cody, Aiden, Jacob, Liam, Seamus, Kayla, Casen, Sullivan, Justus and Tabri; one great-great grandchild, Lante; a niece and nephew Al and Twila raised after Twila’s sister passed over: Patricia Henry of Lawton, and Shawn Sandt and wife Sonja of Elk City; nieces and nephew: Darlene Lewis, David Ray, Breanna, Aubrey and Haylee Sandt, one special Goddaughter: Allison Roche of Del City; and numerous relatives, church family, friends and neighbors.
Al was preceded in death by his wife, Twila Gee (Killer); his twin sister, Ellen Ray; his brothers Nelson and George; and his parents, MaryAnn and Daniel Efford Keisler.
Graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at Memory Lane Cemetery, Anadarko, with Pulpit Minister Paul Richardson and shepherds officiating under the direction of Ray and Martha’s Funeral Home of Anadarko.
