Melba Irene Price, age 78, of Charleston, IL, died Sunday, July 17, 2022, at Sarah Bush Lincoln Heath Center in Mattoon, IL.
Melba was born March 7, 1944, in Arcola, IL, to Glen H. and Irene (Whanger) Warner. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Charleston and a former member of the Charleston Eagles. She was a homemaker and enjoyed crafting and collecting paper dolls.
Melba is survived by three children: Christina (Don) Wilson of Salina, KS, Catrina E. Rose Diamond of Mattoon, IL, and Regina (Randy) Trout of Charleston, IL; three step-children: Maria Oliver of McLeansboro, IL, Marsha Abbott of Charleston, IL, and Marty Oliver; five siblings: Dale (Helen) Warner of FL, Maynard Warner of Assumption, IL, Glennadine Fuller of Mattoon, IL, Marie Robinson of Charleston, IL, and Robert Warner; nine grandchildren; twenty-two grandchildren; and two-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by special friends Peggy Clapp, Louise Garrett, and Gena Epperson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 25, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at Krabel Funeral Home in Oakland, IL. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service, beginning at noon. Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery in Charleston.
