Anna Duryea, age 99 of South Salem, New York passed away December 30, 2017 at Norwalk Hospital. She was the widow of Seth Austin Duryea, II.
Born on February 1, 1918 in New Canaan, she was the daughter of the late Daniel O'Connell and Annie Knudsen O'Connell. Anna enjoyed many years of gardening and bird watching in her home of 70 years and her many grandchildren. She never hesitated to help with the care taking of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In her later years, she was known also for care taking of her peers into her 90's.
Anna is survived by her siblings Mary Price and Helen Monroe; her daughter and son; Shirley A. Duryea of Stamford, CT and Seth A. Duryea III of South Salem, NY. Her several grandchildren; Amber Bonfoey of Stamford, CT, Chris Paul of South Salem NY, Matthew Paul of Pawling NY, Anna Montes of Danbury CT and Sarah Duryea of Danbury, CT. Along with her many great-grandchildren; Brianna, Austin, Cody, Christopher, Emily, Arianna, Elizabeth, and Hunter. She was predeceased by her sister, Margaret Wakeman and brother, James O'Connell.
