Linda "Lin" Combine Cathey, 77, of Dublin, died Saturday, May 19, 2018 at 11:52 a.m. at her residence.
Born in Columbus, Ohio on March 30, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Howard "Red" and Valeria (Nye) Combine.
She married Roderick Cathey. He preceded her in death on November 29, 2013.
Linda is survived by a daughter, Shannon Cathey and two grandsons, Nicholas and Christian, all of Dublin, a sister, Nancy (James) Hall, Carey and a brother, Steven (Valerie) Smiley, Streetsboro, OH.
Linda was a 1959 graduate of Carey High School. She furthered her education at Columbus Business School. She retired from the Ohio Dept. of Insurance.
She loved her family, especially her grandsons, whom she helped raise. She enjoyed her puppies, Butterscotch and Carmel.
A memorial service will be Saturday, May 26, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. at STOMBAUGH-BATTON FUNERAL HOME, Carey with Rev. Cynthia Morrison officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses and sent to Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home, 225 West Findlay Street, Carey, OH 43316-1169.
