Funeral services for Michael “Mike” Paul Brasfield, age 51, will be held Tuesday, May 22, 2018, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Ronk Funeral Home with Drew Shelley officiating. Interment will follow at Alamo Cemetery.
Mike Brasfield died, Friday, May 18, 2018, at Alive Hospice Residence in Nashville, TN.
He was born, Sunday, March 26, 1967, in Jackson, Tennessee to Mr. Larry Paul Brasfield and Mrs. Jean Johnson Brasfield.
Mike was one of the most loving people you could have ever had the privilege of knowing. Anyone who ever met him instantly liked him. He never met a stranger and he always had a smile on his face no matter what he was going through.
Even while battling cancer Mike still loved going sailing on his boat that he refinished himself, hiking mountain trails, and spending time with his family that he loved so much. He never gave up in his fight against cancer. He fought to be here for the people he loved until he couldn’t fight anymore.
Mike is preceded in death by his father, Larry Paul Brasfield; grandmother, Rosa Brasfield.
He is survived by his mother, Geraldine “Jean” Webster; Wife, Stephanie Brasfield; children, Heather Brasfield Burnett (Brian), Jessica Brasfield, Maddie Mayo, Justin Mayo; sister, Carla Crumpton (Ken); grandchildren, Taylor Burnett, Shelby Burnett.
Visitation will be held, Monday, May 21, 2018, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Ronk Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to, Alive Hospice Residence, 1710 Patterson Street, Nashville, TN 37203.
Pallbearers for the service will be Brian Burnett, Taylor Burnett, Justin Mayo, Brian Lambert, Trey Wallace, Dave McLean, and Mark Williams.
