Born in Valdres, Norway∼Gjermund attended Augusburg Seminary 1869 - 1870 and 1872 - 1973, and Wisconsin University in 1870 - 1871. Was a Lutherna clergyman, Duluth Minnesota in 1873. Menominee, Wisconsin in 1874 - 1876 ; Eau Claire, Wisconsin from 1876 - 1902. President and Bishop of United Lutheran Church , 1890 - 1902.In 1874, married Ida O. Olson, who died in 1905. His children include Ragnhild, born April 1, 1880 - February 3, 1958), Harold (1884), Christopher (1887) Gjermund (1890), Mrs Alfred Cypriansen, Mr. John Knudtson, Mrs. C. Thompson and Mrs J. A. Aasgaard.
