CHESTER - Thomas Gene Wolford, 82, went to be with his Lord on May 17, 2018. He was born in Bowden, West Virginia, on July 19, 1935, son of the late Thomas and Ina (Wyatt) Wolford.
Tom served four years, four months, and 25 days in the U.S. Army, serving two years in the Korean War in Fort Richardson, Alaska. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Martha (Bates); his daughters, Sandra Snowden and her husband, James, of Bracknell, England, Kathleen McIntyre of Geneseo, New York, and Linda Campbell and her husband, Christopher, of Talkeetna, Alaska; his son-in-law, Ricky Troxell, of Twin Falls, Idaho; eight grandchildren, Samuel Snowden, Bradley Powers and his wife, Jessica, Jared Powers, Valerie (Wolford) Powers, Jessica (Campbell) Case and her husband, Charlie, Moriah (Campbell) Gerenday and her husband, Michael, Christopher Campbell Jr. and his fiancée, Robyn Patterson, and Abigail Campbell; six great-grandchildren, Bridgette VanFossen, Emelia Powers, Eli Powers, Owen Case, Loralei Case, and Thomas Gerenday; his sisters, Mary Adams of Smyrna, Tennessee, and Hope Clark and her husband, Herb, of Mogadore, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service with full military honors will be held at 11 a.m. on May 21, 2018, at South Chester Cemetery in Chester, Maine, followed by a celebration of his life at Bible Baptist Church, Lincoln, Maine. Condolences may be expressed at clayfuneralhome.com.
