June passed away surrounded by her family.

She is the daughter of Elmer and Mary A. Hansen Anderson of Aurora. June married Riley Melvin Beckstead on March 21, 1953. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple with their seven children on August 15, 1972.

June was a cosmetologist. She was an active member of the LDS Church, where she served in many callings. She was a volunteer at LDS Hospital for fifteen years. June devoted her life to her family, especially her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening and loved raising her boston terriers.

June is survived by her husband of fifty-eight years, Riley; children, Gail (Brad) Ottley, Neal (Melanie), Diane (Carl) Parrish, Jennette (Rick) Gibson, Dick (Jamie), Lydia (Don) Heslop, and Laura (Nathan) Kunz; twenty-four grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren; as well as her sister, Varna (Chet) Coleman. She is preceded in death by her parents; infant brother; and sister, Echo N. (Ralph) Petty.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2012 at 12:00 p.m. in the Rose Park North Stake Center, 1155 North 1200 West. Family and friends may call on Wednesday, February 15, 2012 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple Street, and prior to the services at the church on Thursday from 10:30-11:45 a.m.
Interment will follow in the Salt Lake City Cemetery.
