Frank McAllister Romney, 90, died May 17, 2018. He was born April 26, 1928 in Colonia Dublan, Chihuahua, Mexico, to Gladys Walker McAllister and Frank Romney. His mother passed away when he was 7 years old. When he was 11, his father moved the family to Payson, Utah.
Frank was a faithful member of the LDS Church, serving in many callings. He served a full-time mission in Mexico.
He was sealed to Barbara Farr on May 2, 1951 in the Salt Lake Temple. Two weeks later, Frank was inducted into the army to serve in the Korean War. He was stationed in Germany with the Army Signal Corps from 1951-1953.
Frank graduated from BYU in accounting and worked as a CPA. He worked for Associated Food Stores for 25 years.
After retirement, Frank and Barbara served a mission on the island of Mallorca (Spain). Frank later served many years in the Bountiful Temple; he helped initiate Spanish language sessions. He was a volunteer translator for Spanish-speaking patients at the Davis Volunteer Medical Clinic in Layton, Utah.
Frank and Barbara lived in Kaysville, Utah, from 1966 until 2015, when they moved to Apple Village Assisted Living Center.
Frank is survived by Barbara, his sweet wife of 67 years; his children, Peggy (Cody) Huft, Sheila (Roy) Waddoups, Frank (Linda) Romney, Diana (Scott) Fletcher, and Linda (Blake) Swain; 29 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; sister, Marilyn (Slim) Nielsen; sister-in-law, Joan Romney; and brother-in-law, Ralph Keller.
He was preceded in death by his parents; oldest daughter Alane; two grandsons, Matthew and Tyler Romney; and siblings, Cecile Keller, Gladys (Ned) Loveless, Maurine (Bill) Badger, Lowell Romney, and Emmy Lou (Melvin) Blair.
Funeral services will be held Monday, May 21, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the Kaysville 20th Ward, 855 E. Mutton Hollow Road, Kaysville, Utah. Friends may visit family Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist's Kaysville Mortuary and Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.
Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery, 500 E. Crestwood Rd.
