Leslie Bennett, youngest son of Lennie Joe and Vashti Esther Williams Bennett, was born in April of 1929. He appears in the April, 1930 census, though according to first hand family accounts, he was not actually alive by then. He is buried in the Thurman Burial Ground in Adair County, Kentucky. The family was very poor, and no records of his birth or death have been found. There likely was a cross put up at his death, but the Thurman Burial Ground was private property of the Thurman Family, and no existing stone has been found. Leslie's mother died about 18 months later. It was all very sad.
