The father of Mrs. H. E. Adams of Butler, Mr. William Wright Simmons, died Saturday afternoon last at her home. Funeral services were held here but he was buried in the family plot of Old Salem Church cemetery in Crawford County. Many readers will remember that he fell about 9 years ago and was confined to his bed and a wheelchair since that time.
He never murmured or complained about his situation. He was a great reader of the Bible.
He was the son of the late Captain William Simmons and Mrs. Sara Middleton Simmons. Besides Mrs Adams, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Bertha Richards of Orlando,Florida and a son, Mr. W. T. Simmons of Christmas, Fl. Also one half-brother, 2 half-sisters, numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews survive.NOTE cemetery seems correct
