Son of Jesse and Mary McCord Bushong.
Married Eva Crews March 3, 1951. She survives.
Also surviving are children Karen Miller, Michael (Laura) and Tim (Sharon) Bushong; eight grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren; brothers Wendell and Roy (Rita) Bushong; special care giver Mandie Wills.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Joyce Bushong.
After graduating from Summer Shade High School, Jim served his country as a Staff Sargent in the United States Air Force.
Jim worked for R.R. Donnelley & Sons in Crawfordsville for 38 years, retiring in 1993.
He was a member of the American Legion and served as a Trustee for the B.P.O.E. Jim was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with his family, relaxing at the lake, and following his beloved Red Sox and Indiana Hoosiers.
Surviving along with his wife Eva of 67 years are: children Karen Miller of Crawfordsville, Michael (Laura) Bushong of Greenwood, and Tim (Sharon) Bushong of Crawfordsville; eight grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. Also surviving are brothers Wendell Bushong of Bemidji, MN and Roy (Rita) Bushong of Crawfordsville, and special care giver Mandie Wills of Crawfordsville. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Joyce Bushong.
Service 11am Monday, May 21 at Hunt and Son Funeral Home.
