DEXTER - Arlene G. (Hammond) Davis died on May 13, 2018, at 86 years of age. She had been in the loving care of the staff of the Maine Veterans Home in Bangor. Arlene was born and raised in Dexter, ME, daughter of Alice and Floyd Hammond.
She married Roger R. Davis, also of Dexter. They left Maine while Roger served a career in the US Army and returned to Dexter upon his retirement. Arlene was predeceased by her husband, one son, Rodney and his wife, Karen Davis Thibault, and a grandson, Benjamin Davis. Arlene is survived by two sons, Roger Robert Jr. and his wife, Victoria, and Richard and his wife, Debbie, and two daughters, Linda and her husband, Wayne Hoar, and Diana Davis. She has ten surviving grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren. Arlene also has surviving cousins, nieces, and nephews, and a very special friend, Retha Crawford.
A graveside service will take place on Saturday, May 19, 2018, at 10 a.m., Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Dexter, with Pastor Isaiah Hill officiating. Arrangements are in care of Thompson Funeral Home, 17 Hudson Road, Corinth.
