BARBERTON -- Estelle M. Smith, 92, passed away October 21, 2009 at Barberton Citizens Hospital.

She was born in Baltic, Mich. and was a resident of Barberton for the past 72 years. Estelle retired from the Babcock and Wilcox Co. in 1981 after 25 years of service and was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church.

Preceded in death by husband, Clyde; son, Michael; brothers, Edward and David Charles; and sister, Eva Juntunen; she is survived by sons, James (Marion) Smith of Norton and Ronald Smith of North Lawrence; daughters, Sandra Ruckman of Barberton and Sheila (John) Galinis of Massillon; 10 grandchildren and numerous great- and great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, October 24, 2009, 11 a.m. at the SILVA-HOSTETLER FUNERAL HOME, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton, Rev. Deacon Robin Adair officiating. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Calling hours ONE HOUR PRIOR to service time at the funeral home.
