CHELMSFORD - Mildred E. "Millie" Adams, 94, a longtime Chelmsford resident, passed away peacefully on February 10, 2018. Millie was the daughter of the late Donald F. Adams and Marion Elizabeth (Smith) Adams.

Ms. Adams was born in Newton, MA on December 17, 1923. She was educated at the State Teachers College of Lowell. For many years Ms. Adams was a fifth grade teacher in the City of Newton at the Cabot School. She proudly served in the United States Navy during WWII.

Millie was an active member at All Saints' Episcopal Church in Chelmsford. She loved to decorate the senior sitting area for the holidays. She was also a member of the DKG society and the Locke Family Society for many years.

Survivors include a nephew , Donald Irvin and his wife, Marsha of Belmont, NH; two grandnephews, Jeff Irvin of Weare, NH, Christopher Irvin, Esq. of Boston, MA; a grandniece, Rachel Fisher and her husband, Randy of Northampton, NH; two great grandnephews, Braden and Gavin Fisher; a cousin, Kathleen Feeney of Chelmsford; and many dear friends. She was the sister of the late Dorothy Irvin and cousin of the late Janet MacEntee.

ADAMS - It being her request calling hours have been omitted. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 18, 2018 at 11 AM in the BLAKE CHELMSFORD FUNERAL HOME, 24 Worthen Street, CHELMSFORD. Interment will follow with military honors in Forefathers Burying Ground located in Chelmsford Center.
