Donald L. Alexander Jr., 69, longtime Brush resident, passed away suddenly at his home on Sunday, May 14, 2017. He was born January 13, 1948, in Akron, CO to Don & Dorothy Alexander.



Donny graduated from Brush High School in 1966. He worked as a welder for Burlington Northern Railroad for over 30 years. After retiring from the railroad, Donny worked at Cargill Meat Solutions for 17 years.



Donny enjoyed collecting coins, playing pool, collecting antique railroad paraphernalia, and watching the Colorado Rockies baseball team.



Survivors include his wife, Diane; 2 sons, Bryan (Debra) and Craig (Lynn; 2 brothers, Charles & Ron; 4 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother, Danny and his parents.



A graveside inurnment will be held on Friday, March 2, 2018, at 2:00 PM at the Brush Memorial Cemetery Columbarium. A celebration of Don's life & reception will be at the Moose Lodge of Morgan County beginning at 5:00 PM on March 2. The Heer Mortuary & Crematory is entrusted with the cremation arrangements.
