Mrs. Ella Cain Parker, 75, of Freeville, died in Cortland County Hospital.

Born in Logan County, Ohio, she spent many years as a resident of Freeville, New York.

She is survived by a brother (Willis) in California; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Odell Leonard, Gilett, Pennsylvania. She was predeceased by her husband, James Parker.

Services will be held in Perkins Funeral Home, Dryden. The minister from the Freeville Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in McLean Cemetery.

Her first husband, Almon J. Headley, died of typhoid fever on September 21st 1907 in Akron, Ohio according to two death records. The death notice in the Akron Beacon Journal, Sept. 21, indicated he died on September 20th 1907.

Mrs. Ella Starkweather, aged 50 years old, married James Parker, aged 48 years, on April 26th 1924 in Groton, New York. James Parker was born in Catherine, Schuyler County, New York. It was the second marriage for Mr. Parker and the third marriage for Mrs. Starkweather.

At the time of death, Mrs. Parker was aged 75 years 2 months and 1 day old.
