Helen Mae Barrs Kelley, 85, passed away Nov. 8, 2006, in a local hospital. A native of Branchville, S.C., she resided in Tampa, Fla. for 65 plus years before moving to Lake Charles in 1995. She attended the Methodist Church in Moss Bluff. She was a member of Order of Eastern Star, Temple Terrace Chapter 277 and a member of AARP. Survivors include her daughters, Renie Lopez and husband, Frank, of Moss Bluff, Deborah Rule and husband, David, of Tampa, Fla.; son, Harry James Kelley and wife, Donna, of Gibsonton, Fla.; sister, Ann Epperson of Tampa, Fla.; grandchildren, Jamie Fontenot and wife, Mary of Ragley, Doug Fontenot of Moss Bluff and Christopher Kelley of Washington, D.C.; 11 great-grandchildren; step-grandsons, Allan Lopez, Aaron Lopez and Chris Rule; and extended family, Tammy Fontenot. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 11, in the chapel of Johnson Funeral Home. The Rev. Al Lawrence will officiate. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time on Saturday.
