Verna attended St Anthonys in Kalihi then St Frances in Manoa and graduated from Roosevelt school in Honolulu, Hawaii. She came to California in the late 50's and worked for and retired from Pacific Bell with 30 years service. Verna is survived by sisters Lily Kikau, Sue Dummer, Mary Louise Neff "Darling", Theresa Akin "Tita", Charlotte Ahnee "Melotootsie", Sheila Ann Decker "Fatso", and was preceded in heaven by parents Mary Naomi Kawelo-Thomas and Lawrence Beamon Thomas Sr and brothers Lawrence Beamon Thomas Jr. "Sonny Boy" and James Henry Thomas Sr. "Bolo" and a host of nieces and nephews and ohana. Verna was known as our beloved "Stinky"
