Mr. James Earl “Pea Ridge” Adams, age 74, of 109 Pineland Road, Union, passed away Monday, May 7, 2018 at his home.
Mr. Adams was born August 22, 1943 in Union a son of the late Hoyle Adams and Maude Gregory Adams Horne. He was the step-son of the late James “Jimbo” Horne. Mr. Adams was retired from Milliken & Co. and BHI of Forest City where he was a truck driver. He was a Veteran of the United States Army and had served in the South Carolina National Guard—Jonesville Unit. Mr. Adams was a member of Fairforest Baptist Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Lisa Adams and special friend Mike Robinson of Union and Tonya A. Garner and husband Chris of Charleston; a sister, Joyce Gault and husband Tony of Jonesville; a sister-in-law, Sara Adams of Jonesville; a grandson, Adam Greer of Charleston; special friend Marlene Morris of Spartanburg; the mother of his children, Patricia Harmon of Jonesville; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one brother, Roy Adams.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, May 10, 2018 at Fairforest Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Mark Truitt. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Chad Greer, Robbie Faucett, Tony Gault, Andy Gault, Shannon Gault, John Horne, and Jamie Coker.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home.
