Audrey L. Hines Parmly was born in Harlowton on April 21, 1921, to Louis and Ida Hines. They lived in Spokane, Wash., for a short time and then moved to Bozeman in 1924. Audrey graduated from high school in 1940, and married Leon Parmly on Oct. 24, 1942. They owned a laundry in West Yellowstone until it burned down in 1947, then they moved back to Bozeman.

Audrey worked for Gibson's, J & M Cleaners, and also had her own sewing business for 35 years. She belonged to the Rebeka's, was past president of the Eagles Lodge and was on their drill team. She moved to Billings in 1996 to be close to family and volunteered at R.S.V.P. where she crocheted hats and mittens for needy children. She was a member of the Methodist Church.

Audrey passed away Tuesday evening, Nov. 27, 2007, in Billings. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1985, one granddaughter and one great-granddaughter. Audrey is survived by two daughters, Rita McLaughlin of Riverton, Wyo., and Marla Reynolds of Billings; one sister, Ruby Ulijohn of Spokane, Wash.; nine grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Cremation is planned, and burial of the urn will be scheduled at Sunset Memorial Park in Belgrade. Smith Downtown Chapel of Billings is assisting with these arrangements.
