Henry is buried next to his father and mother. On July 7, 1882, the Meadows home in the Tonto Basin was attacked by a gang of renegade Apache Indians fleeing the San Carlos Reservation. Henry's father was killed in the battle. Henry and his brother John were wounded. John recovered, but Henry died on September 17th after fighting a courageous battle.
