Born May 30, 1934, in Spring Mills, he was a son of the late Stanley E. Treaster.
He was preceded in death by: wife, June F. (Shortness) Treaster, who he married in 1962; a brother, Clifford E. Treaster; and sisters, Virginia ODonnel and Linda Wells.
He is survived by: son, Todd W. Treaster and wife, Rebecca (Wycoff) Treaster, of Burnham; a sister, Stephanie Auman and husband, Harold, of Potters Mills; granddaughter; Jessica (Treaster) Smith and husband, Andrew, of Burnham; close nieces, Edie Swank and Georgia Olson, of Lewistown; nephews, Clifton and Terrell Treaster, and Adam Wells, of Spring Mills; and many other nieces and nephews.
William was a USAR veteran, he served in the Army from 1956-1959. He worked at Fisher Electronics/Sanyo Corporation for 33 years and retired in 1998.
He loved telling stories of his time in the service. William enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with family.
A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, May 8, 2018, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, 108 First Ave., Burnham. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 9, 2018, with the Rev. Kenneth Longfield officiating.
Interment will take place in Lind Memorial Cemetery, Lewistown.
