Andrew Berry Brumble was born Barnsville, Robeson County, North Carolina, the son of Elizabeth (Hardin) and Gilbert Brumble. Following his father's death and the Civil War the family moved across the border to South Carolina.
In about 1875, Andrew married Sophia Edwards. They became the parents of 13 children: Pettie (1876), Magnolia (1878), Winfield Hancock (1880), Andrew Berry (1882), Alfred Adville (1884), Sophia E. (1887), Minnie S. (1890), Lilly (1892), Neimah (1895), Euther (1897), Darus & Gary N.(1899)and last Coon.
Andrew is buried in the Magnolia Cemetery in Latta, South Carolina.
