Ronald Mack Ausmus 65, of Corpus Christi, TX, passed away Friday, May 4, 2018. He was born in San Diego, CA, and his military family afforded him the opportunity to travel to many places.

He retired in 1990 from the U. S. Army after twenty plus years of service. After his military career he worked for various aviation contractors. He was a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Assembly # 1097 and was treasurer of Knights of Columbus Council # 8170.

He was an active member of the Men’s ACTS Retreats at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church and the Journey to Damascus Retreats. He was an “avid hunter, but never got any”, and loved to fish and was a workaholic.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Charley Mack Ausmus and Robbie Jo Huggins; a brother, Roger Ausmus; and grandparents, John Robert and Myrtle Armstrong.

A Rosary will be recited 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 2233 Waldron Rd., Corpus Christi, TX 78418, with a Funeral Mass to follow at 11:00 a.m. A Graveside Service with military honors will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 9, 2018, at the Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery, 9974 Interstate Hwy 37, Corpus Christi, TX 78410.A
