SCOTT CITY -- Patsy Ussery, 53, of Springfield, Ill., died Monday, Jan. 6, 1997, at St. John's Hospital in Springfield.

She was born April 21, 1943, at Sikeston, daughter of John S. and Rebecca D. Harp Bagwell Sr.

She and Floyd Eugene Ussery were married Dec. 28, 1970, in Anna, Ill.
Ussery was a customer service clerk at Wal-Mart. She was a member of ABF Wives Club, VFW Auxiliary to Post 6407 at Scott City, and St. Mark's Chapter 167 Order of Eastern Star in Cape Girardeau.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Scott Ussery of Springfield; a stepson, Floyd Ussery Jr. of Little Rock, Ark.; two stepdaughters, Sherry Martin of Little Rock, Brenda Counlis of Stanford, Fla.; three brothers, John Bagwell Jr. of Mesa, Ariz., Edwin Bagwell of Walnut Ridge, Ark., Bill Bagwell of Cape Girardeau; six sisters, Sue Osborne of St. Peters, Peggy Copeland of Fulton, Ky., Judy Knox of Seneca, S.C., Claudia Rollet of Perryville, Mary Foulk of Chaffee, Carolyn Graffius of Chesapeake, Va.; and eight grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother and sister.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City from 4-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the chapel, with the Rev. William Dickey officiating.

Burial will be in Union Park Cemetery at Chaffee.
