Abraham L. "Pete" Miracle, Jr., age 67, passed away at his home in Justice, IL, on November 5, 2011. Pete was born in Grays Knob, KY to Abraham L. and Martha L. Combs Miracle, on April 19, 1944. Pete was a quiet and gentle soul. He graduated from Carl Sandburg High School in Orland Park, IL in 1962, served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War in Munich, Germany. Pete lived most of his life in the Chicagoland area after moving there with his parents and siblings in 1960. Survived by his four children, Eric G. Miracle, Temecula, CA, Michael S. Miracle, Crown Point, IN., Amy J. Miracle, Justice, IL, and Jeremy D. Miracle, Crown Point, IN., two sisters, Elda (Darrell) Dyer, Palos Hills, IL, and Marilee Osborn, of Sanford, FL. Five grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Viewing will be on November 11, 2011 from 3:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Zimmerman & Sandeman Funeral Home, Oak Lawn, IL, with Services following with the Rev. Marilee Osborn officiating. Interment Private.
