Betty Sue Walberg, 89, of Hot Springs passed peacefully on April 23, 2018.

She was born on February 6, 1929 in Violet Hill, Arkansas to the late Buell and Mildred Billingsley.

Betty Sue, or “Mama Sue” as she was affectionately known around town, had a magnetic personality and never met a stranger. She was known for being the life of the party and always willing to share in a good laugh, something she did often.

She particularly enjoyed spending her time at the Elks Lodge or with her friends of the Perfect 10 Club.

She and her daughter also owned and operated Susie Q’s Supper Club.
Betty Sue was fortunate enough to have three great loves in her life, all of whom preceded her in death; Harold Buchanan, Jack Walberg and Robert Maher.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Regina “Susie Q” Christian; sister, Sibyl Gleghorn; grandchildren, Kyle Christian and Shana Haggard; great grandchildren, Brayden Haggard and Madison Haggard; son-in-law, Danny Christian (Judy) along with numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Interment will take place at Violet Hill Cemetery during a private family ceremony.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Hospice Home Care and Dr. Randy Hill for their care and support.
