Mrs. Dixon was a member of the Second General Baptist Church in Dexter. She had worked at Elders Manufacturing in Dexter and enjoyed the singing at the Dexter Senior Center.
She was united in marriage to Clyde C. Dixon on October 15, 1937 in Bloomfield. Mr. Dixon preceded her in death on March 31, 2007.
Ella is survived by three sons, Robert E. (Kay) Dixon of Springfield, Kenneth D. (Betty) Dixon of Jackson and Clyde A. (Melinda) Dixon of Dexter; by one grandson, Jeff (Cristy) Dixon of Bloomfield, who was raised as a son; by one brother, Kermit (Rosemary) McKee of Gruver, Texas; and by eleven grandchildren and thirty great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Darrell R. Dixon; by four brothers, Paul McKee, Bill McKee, Don McKee and Floyd McKee; and by one sister, Mable Malone.
Visitation and funeral services were held on June 20, 2014 at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.
