Ulysses E. G. Dyer (known as U.E.G and also as Grant) was born in Wilkes County to Elijah Dyer and Frances Matilda Church around 1865 (he's shown as 5 on the 1860 Census). He was a physician and graduated in 1892 from College of Physicians and Surgeons in Baltimore, MD. He moved to Texas in 1894 and began his practice there after practicing in Wilkes County, NC for a short time. The death notice states he died in Tuleta, Texas on October 26, 1913 at 47 years 7 months old; no burial information is shown. He was married 1st to Ameila Emma J. Triplett on 12/22/1895, she died in 1909. He remarried to Clara Hamilton in May 1913.

Gravesite Details

A family member stated that after he was buried his grave was flooded by a large storm and was moved to a small town outside of Houston. Have been unable to find original or 2nd location of his grave.
