Lucien Lee Royse, 79, widower of Betty Ann (Noe) Royse, passed away Saturday, April 28, 2018. He was born May 15, 1938 in Poplar Plains, Kentucky, son of the late Leo M. and Martha Harlan Day Royse. Lucien graduated from Columbia Military Academy in Columbia, Tennessee, Georgetown College with a Bachelor degree in Chemistry and did post graduate work at The University of Kentucky and The University of Cincinnati. Lucien retired from Sara Lee Corporation, where he was Vice-President of Operations. He was a member of Georgetown First United Methodist Church, the Georgetown-Scott County Museum and was an avid antique collector. Lucien is survived by his son, Lucien Lee (Diana) Royse, Jr.; his daughter, Celia Royse (Rick) Johnson; eight grandchildren, Holly Lee Royse, Lucien Lee Royse III, John Harlan Royse, James Reid Johnson, Joanna Marie Johnson, Katherine Barton Johnson, Mary Elizabeth Johnson and Martha Jane Johnson; one great-granddaughter, Addison R. Royse; his niece, Caren Curotto Prater; a very special friend, Penny St. Charles. In addition to his wife and parents, Lucien was preceded in death by two sisters, Jennie Lou Curotto and Johnnie Day Howe. Burial will be in Elizaville Cemetery, Elizaville, Kentucky.
