Chloe M. Petro, age 90, of Clare passed away on Friday, August 29, 2003 at Shamrock Manor in Clare. She was born the daughter of George and Mary Jane (Kerns) Starkey on February 13, 1913 in West Virginia. She married Orville Petro on March 14, 1931 and he preceded her in death on March 21, 1990. She attended the Trinity Baptist Church in Farwell.
Chloe is survived by two sons, Fred and Blanche Petro of Colorado and Robert and Elva and Barbara and Ray Wellman of Lake George. Also surviving are a sister, Geraldine Rust, a brother Bill Starkey, thirteen grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by five brothers and four sisters.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, September 2, 2003 from the Stephenson-Wyman Funeral home in Clare with burial in the Lincoln Township Cemetery.
