Services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, May 4, 2018 at First Baptist Church in Memphis with Rev. Daniel Downey, officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Memphis.
Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Memphis.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at Robertson Funeral Directors in Memphis from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
Alma was born on November 2, 1934 in Memphis to Harry and Neva Mae Capwell Potter. She married Argie Lee “Lebo” McKay on May 14, 1951 in Clovis, NM. She moved from Turkey to Memphis in 1970 where she was a member of the First Baptist Church. She was a member of the Red Hatters Society, the Delphine Club, the Church of Christ bible study, and the Order of the Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a brother Harry Glen Potter; and 3 sisters Willie Mae Nourgh English, Edith Nourgh Walford, and Charlene Potter Randall.
Survivors include her 3 sons David McKay and wife Jennifer of Lichfield Park, AZ, Gary McKay and wife Sidney of Ft. Worth, Jay McKay and wife Lonna of College Station; a daughter Sherita Huseman and husband Greg of Canyon; 10 grandchildren Olivia McKay, Sofia McKay, LeAudra Franklin, Brolin McKay, Callie Sercey, Jayton Hale, Kaytlin Huseman, Joseph Huseman, Samuel Huseman, Isaac Huseman; and 4 great-grandchildren Cooper Franklin, Colby Franklin, Adlee Sercey, and Maylee Sercey.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be sent to Meals on Wheels in Memphis or the Fairview Cemetery in Memphis.
