Death of Eli Enfield ¶ Funeral From Family Home Tomorrow Afternoon at 2:30 O'Clock ¶ Eli Enfield, a veteran of the Civil war, who has lived in Hutchinson for 26 years, died at his home, 714 Fifth east, last night at 10:30 o'clock. Paralysis was the cause of death. He was ill for about eight weeks. ¶ Eli Enfield was 79 years of age, having been born in Pennsylvania September 7, 1835. When a young man he moved to Ohio, where he enlisted in the One Hundred and Eleventh Ohio and served during the war. ¶ In 1878 he moved to Pawnee County, Kansas, and lived there for about five years. He then moved to Rice County, and after living there for five years, moved to to Hutchinson, where he has lived ever since. ¶ He is survived by a wife and seven children, four daughters and three sons. They are: Mrs. Roselia Evans, of Larned; Cyrus Enfield, of Hutchinson; Mrs. Elizabeth Devore, of Miami, Okla.; Mrs. Ada Bennett, Will Enfield, Mrs. Alice Crabb and Gideon Enfield, of Hutchinson. ¶ The funeral will be held from the home, 714 Fifth east, tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 o'clock.
